AUTHOR

Born with arthrogryposis, Luca “Lazylegz” Patuelli never saw himself represented in children’s stories. While searching for suitable tales for his daughter Luna, who shares the same condition, he was inspired to create Funky the Duck with Dancing Dreams, a storybook available in both English and French.

Funky, a character with disabilities who faces challenges but never gives up, offers young readers representation and encouragement. The book is printed in an accessible font, making it easy for children and adults with dyslexia to enjoy.

As a new author, Luca is excited to continue Funky’s journey, creating stories that inspire resilience, creativity, and the courage to chase dreams.
